Children transfer across to Pre-Prep the term after their third birthday, when the Early Education Funding becomes
available to every child. Pre-Prep offers an environment which allows the children to increase their independence skills, separate to the main nursery setting.

Senior practitioners lead the learning and development of each individual child through the delivery of group sessions, with an emphasis on numeracy and literacy skills. Each child has the benefit of individual learning time spent with their key person. 

The children have access to continuous provision with a wide range of exciting resources to promote and enhance their learning. A balance of child-initiated and adult-led activities, incorporating the children’s interests and next steps, are planned for.

Practitioners support the development of personal, social and emotional skills, and encourage the children to become confident individuals, ensuring a smooth transition on to primary school.
